Big Girls Don't Cry

Gary, Emil, Eric, Joe----I have decided it will be a fabulous character building exercise and chemistry building exercise for you to make up your own choreography to Big Girls Don't Cry. Please research videos of The Four Seasons and the show Jersey Boys as reference. You can use elements, but don't directly copy one specific version. Show it to Dan as you progress with it and allow him do adjust if necessary. Let me kow if you have any questions!

Practice Tracks and Files for Showcase Available Now!

After a very busy afternoon of recording, mixing and uploading, practice files are currently available (and more are coming) for the showcase!  You can find them here.  Unfortunately, you can't play the music files from the site, but you can download them for free to practice from your computer (iTunes, etc) or your iPod, iPhone, iPad, Droid, whatever.

Sheet music is also available for "That's Entertainment" - the last song we need to learn for the ensemble.  Please look over it before our next full cast rehearsal so we can put it together rather than pounding out notes.

Please use these resources to practice and memorize your songs - we're super close to dress rehearsal and the weather has not been cooperative!  I need each and every one of you to put time in to perfecting these numbers outside of rehearsal so we can polish things in the time we have left.

Assignments:

Emma Gilson, Evan Serratore, Julia Urban: Write out your line of thought that connects your lines. If you need any help with this just let me know! Practice the miming that you have to do with the actual objects (or something similar), and record your lines to listen to on your ipod.

Bridget Welsh, write about your daily life as a queen/chess piece. Jill Marie write about what the garden looks like in detail. 3 paragraphs each.--And if you have test coming up, study for those first:)

Sean Heggan, write 3 ish paragraphs about the day(s) when you used to come into the office and you actually cared about working and Dad would just ignore you.

Ryan Hennessey, memorize the next 3rd of your piece.

Maureen Clark--watch the clip in Charlie Brown Christmas where Sally writes the letter to Santa. I want to incorporate some of her attitude from that scene.

Chris Yingling--continue memorizing.

Hello gang!! I have updated the calendar from my end. Over the next two weeks, I will be seeing everyone almost every day in half hour periods. By everyone I mean: three days a week I will call you if you are in a monologue or scene, and one day a week I will call you if you sing a solo. Your half hour is NOT always the same day to day, so be diligent in checking the calendar. EVERYONE (except ensemble folks) should keep Friday the 16th open because I will be calling people on that day to fix things from the prior two weeks.

I will also be emailing/posting assignments for those who I don't get to see in person, so keep an eye on the blog and facebook!
