Assuming we're on for tomorrow, I have scheduled Julia Urban and Evan Serratore for tomorrow, and Jill Marie and Bridget Welsh and Sean Heggan and Eric White for FRIDAY. Have your scripts read and bring them along with pencil and paper, and be ready to get some work done!

Hey Showcase Kids! Since this week is setting us back a bit, have your scrips for your scenes read by the time we have our next rehearsal. Obviously if you don't have a script yet, you can't do that, but watch a movie version, listen to a soundtrack, etc. You need to know your characters so we can get a move on! And soloists, have your timeline and question assignment done for your next rehearsal!

Christmas Music Practice Tracks for Choir

Hey folks.  Practice tracks for What Sweeter Music & Carol of the Bells can be found at the bandcamp site (http://abwchoir.bandcamp.com) or the google site (https://sites.google.com/a/archwood.org/abwchoir/christmas-2012).

On the bandcamp site, you can listen via web browser, or download in a variety of formats (mp3, wav, etc).  Bandcamp has a limited number of authorized free downloads, so eventually I won't be able to use it anymore.

On the google site, you can download mp3s only.  It's faster than bandcamp though, and less annoying for me to upload there, plus there's no limit to the number of free downloads, so it will never expire/run out.

I will be putting more tracks up for the Christmas concert shortly.  The two songs available now on the band camp site are from the Christmas 2010 concert.  The rest will be uploaded to a new album, so be sure to look both places (another annoying thing about bandcamp).

I would like to do a little less note-pounding and a little more music making at rehearsal, so please do your best to learn your parts as much as you can on your own.  The more work you do before rehearsal the better prepared we will be for the concert!

Happy practicing!

Assignment for soloists from Wednesday's rehearsal:

1) Make a timeline of the history of your show--if your show has a million versions, just stick to sharing ten of them. If your show only has five, or a few, that's fine too.
2) Find either the most AVAILABLE or the most POPULAR version of your show and watch/read/listen to it. So if you can only find the soundtrack, do that (usually you can find entire soundtracks on youtube so you won't have to pay for it). If you can only find the children's book it was based on, read that, if you can only find the movie version, watch that.
3) See if what you watch/read/listen to can help you fill in some of the blanks with the questions we worked on Wednesday.
4) Email me if you have any questions!!!

Great work yesterday!!!
